In its 100 % gluten- and allergen-free operation in Taverne (Ticino), La Riseria processes over 15,000 tonnes of brown and white rice, rice flour and rice starch every year.
A central element of La Riseria’s philosophy is quality, which it strives for across the entire value-creation chain. Its own rice-growing projects in India and Thailand ensure traceability right back to the farmers themselves. Around 700 rice growers in these countries farm traditional rice varieties such as basmati and jasmine. La Riseria stays up to date on the local projects, and is in regular contact with the rice growers.
